Denotation of my room

Denotations of my room

Mint and vanilla walls
wooden floor with a carpet
Brown wordrobe
Lots and lots of clothes
Speakers
Shelf where toiletries go
Wooden shelfs

My room communicates that I am a teenager, as my room is full of clothes and toiletries and young people tend to place importance in image. The speakers in my room signify my love for music and dance. The books and worksheets on my shelves are a connotation of my identity as a student.

Here is an image of the British actress Tilda Swinton stood in what looks like Russia, with the iconic Russian style palaces in the background. She is holding a multi-colored flag that represents gay pride. Behind her is a police car. Recently Russia had imposed laws against displaying homo-sexual acts in public, and also there are no laws against discrimination against gays. I think this photo presents that Russia is policing homosexuals, as the police car is seen outside the Russian palaces. Tilda Swinton is protesting for gay rights in this image.
